Resources for the new series ‘A Spiritual Path to Mental Health’ will appear here, beginning with: A Spiritual Path Through Anxiety and Depression.
“Surveys show that about half of our patients are turning to spirituality and religion to help them get through their mental health crisis, but they often don’t feel able to talk about this with their psychiatrist. I am delighted that Nick and Carol Pollard are bringing together a team of people to create resources to help such people reflect on insightful passages from the Bible, in an open-ended way.”
Dr Alison Gray, Consultant Psychiatrist, Chair of the Royal College of Psychiatrists ‘Spirituality and Psychiatry’ Special Interest Group
aSpiritualPath builds upon the success of Life Hurts: a doctor’s personal journey through anorexia, which the co-founders of EthosMedia (Nick and Carol Pollard) co-wrote with their daughter, Dr Elizabeth McNaught (see LifeHurts.net). This book originated in a speech by Dr McNaught at the Royal College of Psychiatrists. The book was serialised in The Daily Mail, and covered by features in mainstream media, including national newspapers, BBC TV and Channel 4.
